Quick Post...
Just stopping in super quickly to say that I'll be back!
Lots of crazy, busy full-life things happening right now!
All is well, though!
See you Monday!
Day 149~
"The Pimento Cheese with Soul"
Found this is in the Deli of our grocery store.
To say it isn't lasting long at our house would be an understatement.
It's just that good!

Day 148~
Although I took 150+ pics today,
although tonight was our homeschool group's recognition night,
although I have pictures of my joys receiving awards,
although my boys were dressed ever-so-nicely,
this is our picture of the day.
:)
And I'm OK with that!
This flashy car was drawing a huge crowd tonight as we went through the Sonic drive-thru for celebratory ice cream cones.
As in, waiters were coming out of the restaurant to look at it.
There was not the first female in the crowd.
It was drizzling rain.
And what does my littlest joy do?
He rolls down the window and asks for my camera.
:)
Have I ever mentioned how much I love being the mama to boys?
Boy brains just come up with the funniest ideas.
(Like thinking it's worth risking Mama's camera in the rain to get a shot of a cool car!)
I love my boys!

Day 147~
That would be the best word to describe today- and perhaps this whole week.
Too much on the calendar.
Too little time.
Not enough of me to go around.

Day 137~
We're all about celebrating the small things at our house.
And today was no different.
Well, the littlest joys was elated to pick his first tomato off one of the plants. He was more than happy to taste-test it, too!
Too bad I don't have video on my camera.
You'll just have to imagine him throwing it up in the air and catching it in his mouth.
Lord, I love that silly boy!

Day 136~ Happy Mail
And today my mailbox was filled with lots of it!
1. THANK YOU CARDS- I cannot over state just how much I love people who take the time to send thank-yous. It's like a lost art these days. When I was young(and dumb)I probably didn't send nearly the amount of thank-yous that I should have! Shame on me! Seriously! I guess I've finally grown up and realized that it's common decency, mixed with a little bit of manners, and topped with a sprinkle of southern raising when you take 3 minutes and write one.
(OK, I'll get off my soapbox now.)
2. ROSETTA STONE SAMPLER- I'm excited to check this out and see if it's worth the money for us to add this to our homeschooling curriculum.
Have any of you tried using Rosetta Stone?
3. ON THE QUAD- This is a publication I receive from my Alma mater, Emmanuel College. It's so neat to see what's happening there.
4. BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- I love babies- the smell of babies, pictures of babies, the sounds of babies, etc. So, there's nothing that makes my heart smile like opening an envelope and finding a birth announcement inside. This sweetie pie was one of two little girl cousins to be born in my family last month. She shares a birthday with our little Avery Grace.

Day 135~
If my picture of the day sums up our day, then the oldest joy took the perfect shot!
I finished unpacking our bedroom last night, while the boys spent the night with the in-laws.
So, today we enjoyed a lazy day at home.
To reward myself for getting to the bottom of my bed, I took the joys to Cracker Barrel.
Then we headed to Target and picked up some odds and ends.
It was one of those rare shopping trips where I let the boys wander up and down the toy aisles until their hearts were content.
As in, they probably had a whole hour in the toy department.
No wonder Cameron thought this should be our picture of the day!
:)

Day 134~
I'm starting to think it may be 2012 before I finish unpacking and organizing everything from our move.
We've been here a little over 2 months now!
With Superman out of town this weekend, I decided to tackle some of these boxes head-on.
Looks like I will either find homes for all of this, or I'll be sleeping on the couch tonight!

Everyone is in bed.
So I can finally get caught up on one of my guilty pleasures!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

Day 130~ Heel Cord Casting
Ms. Jenni, the little bitty thing holding his foot in her lap, is one of his all-time favorite therapist.
She works him until he's pooped!
I think she's pretty fantastic, too.
Lately, he's had some issues with his heel cord.
It's suddenly become very tight.
We've tried stretching him in therapy and at home, as well as continued with weekly therapy appointments. But he still needed a little something more.
So, we're hoping this works!!!
He'll have to be casted a week, do therapy a week, be casted for another week, do therapy for another week.
This is all new to us.
We don't know how long it will take, or just how many times he'll need to be casted. What we do know is that our littlest joy is in really good hands!
And soon, his heel cord will be nice and loose!

Day 129~
We went home to Central, SC for Mother's Day!
So nice to be back home!
We surprised Mama at church.
She squealed when she saw the boys come in the door.
It was absolutely priceless!
Afterwards, we had lunch at Nannie's.
I managed to snap another handful of pics of my beautiful hometown for my 35 While 35 list.
Isn't it crazy that when you're young, you just don't realize how good you have it?
I couldn't wait to get out of this sleepy little town back then, but now nothing makes me quite as happy as being there!
It's HOME!
As a teenager, my dad had one of the town bumper stickers on his car.
It read, "My hometown, Central with pride."
Then, I was young and dumb!
I hated that bumper sticker!
But now, with a little age and wisdom, I find myself wanting one of those bumper stickers for myself!
I {heart} Central, SC!

Day 128~
Not a lot of sleep for tonight.
But, it will all be worth it when we walk into Mama's church and surprise her for Mother's Day!

Day 127~
Today was busy, yet filled with all sorts of wonderful!
One of my college roommates, who I happen to adore, has lived just a few miles away from me for the past two years.
She's been super busy finishing law school.
Today, she graduated!
I am SO proud of her!
The joys and I joined her family for lunch afterwards.
I'm missing her already, as she's moved back to N.C., but so thankful for the time I had here with her! In other news, I had a newborn photo shoot at my house this evening!
It was such a great experience!
I'm hoping to start a small photography business, specializing in pregnancy, birth, and newborn sessions.
It is sort of nerve racking putting myself out there!
But I'm reminded of the well-known quote, "Find something you love to do, and you'll never have to work a day in your life." (Harvey MacKay)

Day 124~
It's true!
They abandon me!!!
Superman's parents live right around the corner.
And as soon as their school work is finished, they begin to ask if they can call PawPaw.
They adore him.
I think he's pretty fantastic, too!
He's an amazing grandpa to them.
Their most repeated statement about PawPaw is, "He never tells us no!"
:)
Got to love that!
Got to love that!
Normally it's the grandma that is wrapped around the grandchildrens' little pinkies.
But not on that side of our family.
It's PawPaw!
I'm so thankful for the unconditional love that he shows them!
He's a keeper!

Day 122~
One night, several weeks ago, the power went out mere minutes before dinner.
We had no choice but to eat by candle light.
It was such a nice experience for all of us.
Well, the littlest joy now begs and pleads for dinner by candle light.
Even on nights like tonight when I'm cleaning out the fridge and serving mainly leftovers.
Who am I to not appease him?
We were running low on candles, so he and Superman ran to the store for some tea lights.
I think I could get used to this!

Day 121~
It's OK if you tell Superman!
He already knows!
I've had a severe case of Baby Fever, ever since I saw Avery Grace make her entrance into this world.
And after spending the day celebrating this brown-eyed boy's 1st birthday, it's only getting worse!
SUPERMAN- You know we need another little one, right?
It's a need!
Not a want!
Superman?
Superman?
Do you hear me?
Superman???
All of these fellas loved the water! And, my joys were more than ready for their great-uncle to fire up the boat!
Can you tell? The brown-eyed birthday boy has an older brown-eyed cutie pie brother.
It was hard for him to watch his big cousins in the water, while he stayed dry.But Superman and I employed all sorts of peer pressure to convince his mama he'd be OK with the joys!Sorry, Shannon!
Look at that happy face!
I'm a push over when it comes to sweet boys!
(And in my own defense, I did promise I'd dive in- in my clothes- and rescue him if he fell off the float! And I WOULD have!)Speaking of sweet boys...
I really need to borrow this one for a week or three!
I call him 'Kissy Lips'!
It's so hard not to kiss all over that sweet face of his!See what I mean?
Happy Birthday, Kissy Lips!
We love you!!!
