Things I Learned When I Married Superman

I have a confession to make.

A decade ago, I was not the well-adjusted, scatterbrain that I am today.

I ate out nearly every meal, and cooking consisted of heating up something that was pre-cooked.

I had my nails done every week, and sometimes even had rhinestones added for a little extra sparkle.

I owned more shoes than I could count, and always wanted more.

I had a high school diploma.

I had a college degree.

And I knew it all.

But then this super hot, super strong man walked back into my life, swept me off my feet, and transplanted my city-slicker self to his country abode.

And that is where my next phase of education began.

I learned that some people actual woke up before the sun had a chance to rise, and my Superman was one of those people.

I learned that some people actually spent their own money on gas and insurance for their cars, and I was now one of those people.

I learned that some banks did not open on Saturdays, and my local branch was one of those banks.

I learned that every kitchen sink does not automatically come with a garbage disposal, and mine was one of them.

And last but not least, I learned there actually were towns that didn't have pizza delivery, and I had moved to one of them.

**Just thought I'd share what I've been reminiscing about as our anniversary approaches!

So -- does this mean you actually cook now?

Girl, I try! But I wouldn't go as far as to say that my cooking is always edible! And I surely would not say that I enjoy cooking! Oh, the things we do for our husbands!
