Halloween-ish at Our House

I usually don't decorate for Halloween!
It seems like too much work, when all I really want to do is pull it all down and put up Christmas decorations on the first day of November.
Superman has always thought I was crazy to want Christmas decorations up so early! But, I just LOVE the Christmas season!
And, I think I've rubbed off on him!

Here's my usual idea of decorating for Halloween:

(Thank you very much, Krispy Kreme!)

This year I bowed to the peer pressure (from my children & Superman) and did a little bit of decorating.

After seeing these all over the blogosphere, I had to make a few for us!

We started with these: (each one was $1 or less!)

And some of this:
This would be a good place to add that had I just bought the little bottle up front, the Martha Stewart glow-in-the-dark glitter, that would have been plenty for all three of my boys! It was their FAVORITE part!!!

However, I honestly planned to make all of them myself!

That is, until SUPERMAN decided he was going to help me get my Martha on!Then the littlest joy joined me!Then the oldest joy! So now, we have a little of this:and this:and this:
and this:
But if you look closely, you'll see that Superman has been decorating, too...
Lord, help me!

I'm there with Superman -- I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Grinch. My brother use to have the 33 LP (do YOU even know what that is my Dana Dear??) of the music (all of it) from the Grinch. I can still sing some of the songs, but I'm sure you don't want to hear me sing!!!! And this reminds me I have some Grinch fabric from um, a few years ago that I had wanted to put into a little lap quilt. Might need to get crackin on that one!!!!

You will decorate with anything if it means you can get your boys to craft!!

Chele~ of course I know what a 33 is! I can take it a step further! As a child, I considered my Kenny Rogers 8-track to be my most prized possession!

Sadly, my children have no clue what a 33 is! They probably don't even know what a tape is! Seriously! We love The Grinch, too! I can't wait to see your finished Grinch lap quilt!

Inspired~ Oh how you INSPIRE me!!! And yep, I'll even get crafty with bones and skulls if it means my boys will join in! But if you'd only share one of those girls of yours with me, then I'd get to do fru-fru crafts all the time!

Hi Dana! Cute Halloween decor!

To answer your question, I would only make another advent tree if someone wanted to order one.

Thanks for voting!!!

I will TOTALLY be stealing the painted skull idea next year.

Oh, and I covet your Thanksgiving people - so cute!

What a fun blog!
