Holly Treats

Growing up, I had the most wonderful youth leader at my church. To this day, I love her and am indebted to her for her love and guidance! I called her this week to check in on her. While chatting, I also asked her if she'd share this recipe with me! She is known for her kitchen skills, and this particular recipes was the treat I waited to enjoy once a year at her annual Christmas party! (Thank you Doris, for sharing this recipe... and for everything else! I love you!)
If you'd like to make your own festive holly, it's super easy!

Mix butter and marshmallows, just like you're making rice krispy treats.
Then add either green food coloring or icing coloring.
Keep adding the coloring and stirring, until you have a green shade you like.
Next, add corn flakes- instead of rice krispies.
Spoon the mixture out onto wax paper in small spoonfuls. (The smaller, the better)
While the spoonfuls are still warm and sticky, top with red hots.
